Ger Tysk is a writer, photographer, and professional mariner. She has worked as a steward and mate on tall ships in the United States, including at Sea Education Association, Mystic Seaport Museum, and Oliver Hazard Perry Rhode Island. She holds a USCG 200 ton mate’s license and USCG Able Seaman endorsement.
