Job Summary
The Business Development Sales Representative supports revenue generation via telemarketing, quoting, sales calls, and independent account development as assigned.

Primary Objectives

  • Provide account management and business development support to meet departmental sales goals.
  • Identify and secure additional business opportunities with current and new accounts.
  • Research, prospect, and close or coordinate closing of new account relationships.
  • Proactively collaborate with corporate and operational teams to anticipate and resolve issues to ensure fulfillment of service agreements.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Proactively identify and pursue new opportunities to strengthen and foster growth of customer account base and relationships
  • Assist with research and development of new business opportunities through direct customer contact including calls, emails, and marketing efforts.
  • Actively follow up with prospective clients, resolve outstanding items, and finalize deals within approved limits.
  • Partner with marketing, sales, service, and operations teams to implement business development initiatives.
  • Negotiate account pricing for assigned accounts.
  • Assist with contract renewal and negotiation processes.
  • Support new account development, client launch, and transition from sale to delivery.
  • Develop, maintain, and present reports
  • Review, resolve, and respond to sales and deliverable issues.
  • Develop and present sales presentations to existing and potential customers.
  • Provide reporting and updates of customer, market, and competitor intelligence information in Salesforce CRM.
  • Provide administrative and account management support to Sales leadership and team members as needed.
  • Update sales, customer, and account information in sales system.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field or equivalent combination of coursework and experience in a related field required

Work Experience

  • 3+ years related sales, lead generation, or marketing experience with direct responsibility for account pricing required

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Knowledge of principles and practices of sales, pricing strategy, account management, and customer service.
  • Ability to work independently with self-directed initiative.
  • Effective business and executive communication skills including excellent verbal, written, interpersonal, and group presentation skills.
  • Ability to identify complex problems, use logic and reasoning to review related information, develop and evaluate options, reach conclusions, and implement solutions.
  • Proficiency in Salesforce and BI reporting.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office products at the following levels: ? Excel, Word, PowerPoint: Intermediate level of skill

Starting pay for the successful applicant will depend on a variety of job-related factors, which may include related experience, education and training, location, business needs, or market demands. The expected salary range for this role is set forth below. Ranges may be modified in the future.

Zone 3: $75,000 – $90,000
