Job Summary

The Over High and Wide (OHW) and Inland Transportation Coordinator provides customers with quotations, guidance, and issue resolution for the movement and handling of a wide variety of over-size and over-weight ocean and trucking cargoes.

Primary Objectives

• Prepare and return accurate quotes within 24 hours.

• Enter and review data with a high degree of accuracy.

• Collaborate with team members to ensure accuracy of quotes.

• Develop knowledge of Over High and Wide (OHW) ocean and trucking cargo services, pricing, and processing.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Communicate with carriers, vendors, and customers to ensure the seamless pick-up and delivery of cargo.

• Create quotes, rate filing, and other general responsibilities associated with Hawaii shipping.

• Enter and update shipment information in Salesforce and present for review as directed.

• Evaluate and select trucking, warehousing, and lift/crane vendors for each shipment.

• Process inland logistics documents.

• Track and trace shipments.

• Review and submit vendor invoices and customer billings.

• Perform routine data entry including, but not limited to, entering new orders and shipment information into Salesforce and update as needed.

• Answer incoming customer phone calls and take appropriate action for each call within established service agreements.

• Monitor and promptly respond to incoming customer communications. Escalate internal and external concerns to team members for expedited resolution and ensure customer satisfaction at all times.

• Perform typing, faxing, mail distribution, phone messaging, and other office related duties as required.

• Provide input to leadership and management teams on departmental initiatives and process improvements projects.

• Other duties as assigned.

Required Education

• High school diploma or equivalent (HSED)

Preferred Education

• Associates degree or related college coursework preferred

Required Work Experience

• 2+ years’ experience in a related position with data entry and customer service responsibilities

Preferred Work Experience

• Related experience in transportation/shipping preferred

• Experience using Salesforce preferred

• Excellent organizational skills.

• Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office products at the following levels:

Zone 1: $24.00 – $27.00
