This position is located in San Rafael, CA at our corporate headquarters. This is a temporary, full time onsite position, Monday through Friday. As a Dispatch/Warehouse Support Intern, you will coordinate, track, and monitor movement of trucks and freight between port facilities, local port agencies, pack agents, ocean terminals, warehouses and railroad ramps by directing pickup and delivery activities of drivers. You’ll learn about the daily scheduling of company drivers and sub-contractors and track and monitor traffic movements to and from destinations. You’ll ensure accurate data entry and generate reports on time, while learning and working to resolve non-conformity issues. You will also handle various clerical and administrative tasks and projects under direct supervision and guidance. Goals & Objectives: Follow instructions to execute assigned tasks within required parameters and timeframes. Ask questions and seek clarification as needed. Duties & Responsibilities: Complete various clerical tasks, including filing, data entry, document scanning and processing, organizing of files and materials, and assembly/collation of mailings, presentation materials, and information packets. May assist with phone and email correspondence and inquiries, research, and related tasks. May assist with data audit and reconciliation. May assist with distribution of supplies, mail, and/or other light materials. May assist with event planning and preparation. Other duties as assigned Education, Experience & Certification Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent required. Preferred Education, Experience & Certification Requirements: Some work or formal volunteer experience preferred. Current enrollment in or acceptance to an accredited degree or credential program preferred Key Skills, Knowledge & Ability Requirements: Ability to follow verbal and written instructions. Preferred Skills, Knowledge & Ability Requirements: Familiarity with Microsoft Office software preferred. The applicable salary range is aligned to one of 5 zones according to a cost of labor index for the geographic location of the role. Starting pay for the successful applicant will depend on a variety of job-related factors, which may include related experience, education and training, location, business needs, or market demands. The expected salary range for this role is set forth below. Ranges may be modified in the future.
