Maintains and repairs Top Handlers, Cabs, Automotive Vehicles, Golf Cart/Gators, and other company and third-party equipment. Ensures that all equipment are in working order and can be used safely by inspecting, repairing, and testing and performing preventative maintenance. Builds and assembles mechanical components on various types of equipment.
Job Duties:
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical and hydraulic systems and overhaul hydraulic pumps and valves.
- Diagnose, repair and overhaul diesel and gasoline engines.
- Diagnose and repair 2 & 4 cycle and battery powered small engines.
- Diagnose and repair wet brake system.
- Perform welding and cutting as needed to complete required work.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Able to competently perform job duties described above.
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 2+ years’ experience heavy machinery maintenance
- Valid CDL License – Type A required with HazMat endorsement
- Proficient in ARC and MIG and gas welding and the use of a cutting torch.
- Experience working with diagnosing and repair of wet brake system.
- ASE Air Brakes and/or Manufacture Air Brakes Trained preferred.
- Available for shift work days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Must have a valid TWIC card.
Preferred Qualifications
- ARC, MIG and gas welding Certification
Physical Capabilities Required:
- Lift/Carry objects – up to 100 pounds occasionally; up to 50 pounds regularly
- Work at height – greater than 80 feet above ground
- Bend, Crouch, Crawl
- Reach, Reach above head
- Climb – stairs, ladders, into/out of vehicles
- Perform work while standing
- Work in confined spaces
- Turn/move/pull/push objects using moderate force
- Fine manipulation using fingers/tools
- See fine detail, see in low light
- Walk – uneven surfaces, incline/decline
