Job Summary

The Systems Administrator is primarily responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining physical and virtual operating systems in support of business processing requirements. This position will install, upgrade, and patch operating systems and complex software packages, which will be scheduled in accordance with established IT policies and procedures.

Primary Objectives

• Support Windows based technology server platforms.

• Recommend and implement improvements of systems through the implementation of new technology or maximizing the efficiency of existing technology systems.

• Develop procedures and work instructions which support the organization’s operational and security requirements.

• Maintain and support the integrity of the operating system environment and various computer systems.

• Perform systems maintenance, backups, patches, and deployments.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Administer, organize, and maintain the Active Directory and Group Policy Objects.

• Administer, setup, and maintain backups for Window Servers, SQL Servers, and applications.

• Administer, install, and troubleshoot hardware, peripherals, services, directories, storage, and components in accordance with standards and operational requirements.

• Use System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) to create, develop, and deploy workstation images, create software packages, and perform system deployments.

• Script installation of various software programs for centralized deployment.

• Apply OS patches and upgrades on a regular basis, and upgrade administrative tools and utilities. Configure and add new services as necessary.

• Schedule, perform, and monitor daily system backup operations, ensuring all required file systems and system data are successfully backed up to the appropriate media. Perform data recovery as needed.

• Participate in weekly rotations of after-hours on-call support.

• Track, prioritize, document, communicate, and resolve support requests using ServiceDesk ticket system.

• Participate in daily operational and security monitoring of the server systems.

• Repair and recover from hardware or software failures. Coordinate and communicate with impacted groups.

• Monitor and maintain software licensing and maintenance agreements.

• Participate on project teams.

• Manage systems in accordance with corporate standards and procedures.

• Provide second tier technical support to the Service Desk.

• Develop and maintain procedures and processes.

• Write or revise knowledge base documents and procedures.

• Automate tasks using PowerShell.

• Manage, maintain, and administer The Pasha Group’s intranet using Share Point Online.

• Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required Education

• Bachelor’s degree in a computer related field or equivalent combination of coursework and experience in directly-related field required

Required Licenses and Certifications

• Valid state-issued driver’s license and acceptable DMV record

• Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) required

Preferred Licenses and Certifications

• Microsoft certifications in Azure, Office365 and Systems Administration preferred

Required Work Experience

• 3+ years experience as a Windows Systems Administrator

• 3+ years of advanced administration of virtualized environments with corporate management software

• 3+ years of administration of Microsoft Azure Active Directory and Office365 systems

• 3+ years using PowerShell to automate management of systems

Preferred Work Experience

• Experience using imaging, scripting, remote access tools, consoles, and desktop management tools strongly

preferred

Zone 1: $43.00 – $52.50
