Being pregnant while working offshore creates unique challenges to consider.

On this podcast, Jais Curry, our director of community outreach is back to discuss considerations before becoming pregnant when working offshore and things to think about after you find out you’re pregnant.

Working offshore creates unique issues, and as the mother of two children herself, Jais describes the challenges around seeking healthcare, returning to work, daycare, and postpartum support.

In this episode, Jais also suggests gathering information about pregnancy and your job role beforehand and what to find out about your company’s maternity leave, FMLA, and short-term disability policies. She even shares how sometimes you can negotiate these policies as part of your job offer.
