There are many different kinds of career paths in our community.

At the Women Offshore Foundation, we provide support through resources and a worldwide community to accomplish career dreams. We know that experience offshore is valuable for career growth, and we have seen women make moves into shoreside roles as well as offshore roles. Through our services, we want women to have meaningful careers offshore, so they can use the skills and experience to catapult themselves into their ultimate career dreams.

Sometimes after working offshore for several years, a woman will move into a shoreside role. Women in our community have even pursued unconventional routes, moving to roles outside the industry or ones that service the maritime or offshore energy industries.

To explore a career jump from offshore that’s somewhat unconventional, hear from Jordan Sweeney, Industrial Lead Account Partner at IBM, on the Women Offshore Podcast. Jordan shares her thoughts on being a hiring manager, as well as her wisdom from being a woman in technology.
