The Women Offshore community has always been proud of its diverse members and representing those with marginalized gender identities and expressions.

In episode 108, hear from a member of our Women Offshore community named Elijah Herman. Elijah graduated from the California State University Maritime Academy before transitioning to become a man. Elijah has since taken on his career with Chevron: first as a cadet, and now as Third Mate.

Be inspired by Elijah’s personal journey in his career, including all the challenges he has faced as a black trans man and lessons he has learned along the way. Together, we can eliminate gender-based discrimination.
