She studied at Warsash Maritime Academy in Southampton, England and served her sea time as a deck cadet in the offshore sector. With her license in hand, she joined Celebrity Cruises as a Third Officer where she has worked her way up to her current role, sailing worldwide.
Rachel aspires to be a positive ambassador for the industry and regularly attends careers events and visits schools to promote the maritime industry and range of careers available. She also shares a realistic insight into life at sea and educational content through her various social channels.
At the upcoming Maritime Career Day, Chief Officer Rachel Arnold will kick off the event as the opening keynote, presenting her career and why she is empowered to work on the water.
