The Trust’s leadership recognizes that the costs of education and training have risen significantly in recent years, so they are determined to provide financial assistance for those wanting a career in the maritime industry. Each year, the Captain Richard Phillips Lane Kirkland Maritime Trust awards scholarships to students and the application is now available!
The Captain Richard Phillips Lane Kirkland Maritime Trust scholarship is open to US citizens. Applicants should be in good standing with their current schools and recommended by key individuals who regularly observe their professionalism and dedication. All materials must be in the hands of the Scholarship Committee by December 10, 2019. Incomplete applications will not be considered. Applications must include a short essay, press release form and picture of applicant, as well as one recommendation letter. A transcript copy can be sent by email and followed up by the official mailed transcript.
