The Washington State Ferry (WSF) system is an essential part of Washington's transportation network, linking communities on both sides of Puget Sound and the San Juan Islands. There are over 400 sailings each day on 9 ferry routes. WSF transports nearly 24 million passengers a year and has more than 1,600 employees. Employees perform a variety of duties on vessels, in terminals, at the maintenance facility, and at the Seattle headquarters.

The Washington State Ferry (WSF) a Division of the Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) is excited to announce that we are currently seeking On-Call Terminal Attendants. Our Ferry Terminals are located as far north as Anacortes and as far south as Point Defiance in Tacoma, WA. As a Terminal Attendant, you will assist with janitorial and light maintenance duties, traffic control, collection of boarding passes, transfer or “Proof of Payment” documents, and terminal equipment operations, and /or serves as a watchman during vessel tie-up. Terminal employees play a critical role in creating a positive, memorable experience for millions of passengers traveling through the largest maritime highway system in the United States.
