Join Women Offshore in Sweden, April 4-5, for World Maritime University’s Third International Women’s Conference on the theme “Empowering Women in the Maritime Community!”

Since being founded in 1983 under the auspices of the IMO, the World Maritime University (WMU) has been committed to the advancement of women. From April 4-5, 2019, WMU will host its next International Women’s Conference on the theme “Empowering Women in the Maritime Community.”

Join Women Offshore’s founder, Ally Cedeno, along with female industry leaders from around the world to support women who work on the water. Panel discussions will focus on the roles of women in the shipping industry, seaport operations, ocean and marine science, and fishing and seafood harvesting. Other sessions will dive in deep on how to increase the visibility of women of the sea, leverage maritime safety and security from gender perspectives, empower women in maritime business, and close the gender gap in the maritime community.
