Houston, TX — February 2025 — Women Offshore Foundation is proud to announce the successful conclusion of its annual Benefit Gala, which raised over $100,000 to support its mission of strengthening careers on the water. Held on February 7, the evening drew a full room of supporters for a sold-out gala marked by strong participation throughout the live and silent auctions. Chief Engineer Serena Webber-Bey delivered keynote remarks, sharing her path at sea and the role mentorship has played in her career. During the program, Women Offshore also presented its Lighthouse Award to Captain Willie Barrere, President of American Maritime Officers (AMO), recognizing his longstanding support of Women Offshore and his steady leadership within the maritime industry.
“This room was full of people who understand what it takes to build a career offshore,” said Ally Tenorio, Founder and President of Women Offshore. “Bringing this community together under one roof is what keeps the work moving.”
Women Offshore extends its appreciation to this year’s event sponsors, including Chevron, Shell, Valaris, Transocean, Seadrill, American Maritime Officers, NOV, Stolt, the Mulligan Fund, Great Lakes Maritime Academy, and San Jacinto Maritime College.
The evening also included a special recognition from Harris County Judge Lina Hidalgo, officially designating February 7 as Women Offshore Day in Harris County, Texas.
