In 1900, a group of sailors raced towards a ship in distress only to see it vanish.
The Northumberland Strait separates Prince Edward Island from New Brunswick and Nova Scotia, Over 200 years ago, a ghost ship in Northumberland Strait was described as a beautiful schooner that had three or four masts with pure white sails, all of which are said to become completely engulfed in flames. Since then, there have been countless tales of seeing the ghost ship.
Legends and stories that describe the ghost ship include distinct details including the ship’s masts and phantom crew members climbing them before the vessel appears to completely burn, sink or vanish.
