Women Offshore is pleased to support the She Sails Meetup, hosted in Fall City, Washington, from January 19th-21st.

She Sails Meetup is a place to gather with female mariners across the industry! Let’s meet!

The She Sails Meetup is an event for female mariners around the world to all meet in one place.  This is an opportunity for community building, while attending and participating in discussion panels and workshops.  This year’s highlights will include guest speakers from Pacific Maritime Institute and SeaSisters.org.

Megan started She Sails because she believes in community.

The She Sails Meetup was started by Megan Rycraft, a native of Hilo, Hawaii.  After high school, Megan’s love of the water sailed her from the shores of Hilo, Hawaii to Castine, Maine, to attend Maine Maritime Academy where she earned a USCG 3rd Mate License.  Megan continues to work on the water, post-graduation, currently sailing as Chief Mate on ocean-going tugboats.

Megan started the She Sails Meetup because she believes in community. Megan’s goal is to gather the women who make up 2% of the maritime industry, all in one place, to empower one another.  Through her meetup, she’s building a tight-knit community to support the maritime industry.
